Quotik is a Chrome extension that checks the sources cited in AI chatbot answers. This policy explains what Quotik reads, what it keeps, and what it shares. The short version: Quotik reads a chatbot reply only when you ask it to, and it doesn’t send that reply to us or anyone else.

What Quotik reads

Quotik runs only on these sites: gemini.google.com, chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com and claude.ai. It reads the text of a chatbot reply when you click Check sources or the Quotik toolbar button. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, or anything you type.

What Quotik collects

Nothing. The current version of Quotik does all of its work inside your browser. It does not send your chats, results or any personal information to Quotik or to any other company. There’s no account to create.

Buttons like This flag is wrong don’t send anything yet. If that changes, this policy will say exactly what is sent first.

Results and settings

Quotik’s results exist only while the page is open. They disappear when you switch chats or reload, and Quotik doesn’t save them.

Early access signups

If you join early access on quotik.app, we collect the email address you enter. It’s stored by our website host, Netlify, and used only to email you about Quotik, such as your invite. We never sell or share it. You must be 13 or older to sign up. To have your email removed, write to the address below.

This website

quotik.app doesn’t use cookies or analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads, as described in Google’s privacy policy.

Children

Quotik doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Future versions

To check sources for real, a future version will need to look up the links an AI cites and compare them with its claims, which may involve sending those claims and links to a service that does the checking. We’ll update this policy before any such version is released, and it will list exactly what is sent, where, and how long it is kept.
